I’ve been receiving lots of questions about the upcoming NASNA conference. Here are the top 10 questions I have received.
1.Where can I register?
Answer: Right here, don’t worry if you can’t pay today.
2. How much does it cost?
Answer: $150 for a double occupancy room or $210 for single room
3. What does my cost include?
Answer: Your registration fee covers, food, housing, conference events, and evening activities. (Yes really it is that discounted)
4. Why do you have to know if I am attending so early?
Answer: We have to give an accurate count to our housing provider 90 days out (yes the conference is only 3 months away).

5. When do I have to register again?
Answer: Registration closes at midnight on Wednesday May 19
6. What kinds of workshops will there be?
Answer: Check out the draft schedule here, we got a mix of everything from fundraising, to vendor management, to design covered.
7. Who will the presenters be?
Answer: We have a great mix of street paper veterans and local (Chicago) presenters to provide us with great content and discussion.
8. What if only one representative from my paper can come? I can’t attend all the workshops, what should I do?
Answer: Great question but we have you covered, there will be a note taker at each workshop/roundtable discussion and notes will be distributed to all members and delegates after the conference.
9. What if I have never been to Chicago and want to explore the city?
Answer: No worries. Chicago is a great city. Plan to arrive early on Thursday and leave late on Sunday. We have bag check all day so you don’t have to carry around your bags. And we will be checking out a Chicago White Sox game on Friday night (and yes it really is mullet night, so come prepared, you have been warned)
10. What if I can’t afford the conference?
Answer: If you didn’t apply for a scholarship, give Andy a call and see what he can do. He may just have a little bit of scholarship money available to help you get there.
See you in Chicago July 29 – August 1.
